how to use stl export and mesh

Question

I created a 3D entity.  I also bought the stl export add in, figuring it should be pretty simple.
When I select export, it asks to select entities, which I do.
But then I get a failure of [No meshes selected]

I'm not familiar with meshes and the help file isn't helping much.

Do I need to convert my entity to a mesh?  If so, how do I do that?

Okay, just figured it out.  Used 3DExport command.

A mesh is a surface entity, not a solid model. Entities such as a revsurf, poly face mesh (pface), 3d face, etc.
