This program requires progeCAD Professional to operate

progeCAM includes both progeCAD Professional, the "AutoCAD Like" CAD software, and PartMaster CNC, powerful CAM programming software for CNC mills, lathes or wire EDM machining. progeCAM offers machinists an integrated low-cost CAD CAM software bundle. You can choose from two different levels of  machining, progeCAM Basic or progeCAM Professional:

• progeCAM Basic is an affordable 2D design, milling and backplotting solution for small to medium shops.
• progeCAM Professional offers machinists the choice of multi-axis milling, lathe or wire EDM.

Both versions link seamlessly from within the progeCAD Professional window allowing you to transfer your drawing geometry from progeCAD into Partmaster for machining setup.

progeCAM Link Binds Two Processes

progeCAM eases the transition from designing your part in progeCAD to programming your machine. modify your design with the  special toolbar, and export your design directly to PartMaster CNC. progeCAM offers you several new progeCAD IntelliCAD commands:

1. pcamMILL - select geometry for CNC g-code milling and back-plotting.
2. pcamTURN - select geometry for CNC lathe turning/machining & DNC (Pro only)
3. pcamEDM - select geometry for cutting in Wire EDM machine (Pro only)
4. pcamOPTION - configure the IntelliCAD CNC PartMaster link

• Contouring Advanced Ramping

  Angled, Zigzag, Arc, Approach moves, 1st span and whole contour. Partial machining to avoid clamps etc. Combine multiple contours, Angled wall machining, Z profiling, Set plunge position.

• Area Clear

  Pre-drilling, Angled ramping, Zigzag ramping, Spiral ramping, Set plunge position, Angled wall machining.

• Shape Merge

  Define two separate contours at differing Z depths and create a ruled surface between them, constant Z level or full 3 axis machining.

• Z Profiling

• Single Slot, Ruled surfaces

  Extrusion and Rotation, Surface of revolution and surface patch between 2 profiles.

• Chamfering

  Automatically produces single or multiple cuts depending on tool size.

• Thread Milling

  For internal and external threads using single and multi-point tools

• Digitizing

• Free hand milling and drilling

  ideal for backing off extrusion dies

• Macros

  Create custom Visual Basic Scripts (VBS) to automate repetitive work and produce family of parts.

• Tooling Database

  Create multiple tooling databases and machine tool setups.

• Tooling

  Turn, Bore, Groove, Trepan, Button, Partoff, Threading and Drills.

• Facing

  Simply choose the start and end points for the Facing operation from the screen, set the cutdepth and the operation is complete. Fast and effective, includes the option to cut past the centre line to eliminate pips.

• Turning

  Roughing the part couldn’t be simpler, set the maximum and minimum Z & X coordinates, the system won’t encroach onto the workpiece. set the Z and X finishing allowances and choose to keep out of “undercuts” if required.

• Profiling

  Advanced Profiling with full G41/G42 tool nose radius compensation, differential finishing in Z & X. Approach and Runoff settings. Partial machining. Forward and Reverse, Internal and External.

• Grooving

  Machine regular Grooves with Lip and Root details, or use a Grooving tool on ANY shape !

• Advanced Roughing

  Roughing from a Billet or from ANY shaped Casting or Forging. Superb toolpath optimization.

• Threading

  For internal and external threads, single or multi start threads - options for Feed Angle, Runoff and Acme type threads.

• Post-Processing & Canned Cycles

  PartMaster Turning will output your controllers Canned Cycles such as G71, G72 for Roughing, G76 for Threading, G75 for Grooving etc. A comprehensive range of Post- Processors are supplied as standard.

• PartMaster PDA Comms

  A new method ofcommunicating with your machine tools. It uses a PDA (handheld) PC running Windows Mobile and a specially developed version of PartMaster Dcomms.
