How do i keep my settings for dimension's every time i open my cad i have to reset them . would like for this to stop.

when I open up progecad I have to change dimension settings every time to the style I want to use. we are a machine shop and use 3 place decimal places. how can I change my default to this .. btw I been a auto cad guy for years .. I like your product . so far been a easy transition . just a few hick ups like this

A few ways to handle this...

You could always start your drawings with a template that has the correct dimension (and other) settings set and the new drawings would be started from the template. Place the template drawing in the folder defined in tools->options for the templates and save as a template to that folder. This will show up on the templates tab when you start a new drawing in the new drawing dialog.

The other method is to use the new drawing tab within the new drawing dialog. The tab far left. There is a radio setting there for metric or english (customary) units. Depending on which setting you use you will want to open the metric.dwt or english.dwt drawing and set your units and dimensions in that drawing template. The easiest way to find these drawings is to use the progeCAD Center. Go to the Windows start menu under progeCAD and start the progeCAD Center. Select settings, then open user support folder. Those drawing templates will be defined in the top folder within that file dialog.
