How to import ESRI Shape Files

Previous answer only addressed that of fonts, and that was 3 years ago.  Is there a way to bring GIS shape files into ProgeCAD?  ProgeCAD can recognize it from an AutoCAD created file, but appears to strip the associated data from the shape file.

Dear progeCAD Customer,

ESRI Shape files are not supported by progeCAD, which is developed as an alternative to the standard AutoCAD software.
I verified that these documents are also not supported by our reference software, but only by the AutoCAD Map/Civil3D, that are specifically developed for this kind of use.
If you want to import them in AutoCAD/progeCAD, you have to look for a Converter, on the web, to save them in the dxf format. You will be able, therefore, to open these documents.

Thank you for your attention.

Best Regards
