points/nodes are only visible when zooming
I have imported points into a autoCAD .dwg.
The points are there but are only visible when zooming, I can't see them otherwise or use them.
Smart End of the Tape Measure
Check into the system variables PDMODE and PDSIZE. They should allow you to provide a marker for points. The default is to show them as they are mathmatically defined. No width, no height, no depth. By changing your pdmode and size you will be applying properties to the points so you can identify them, but that are not actually the representation of the points mathmatically. In other words, you won't be able to entity snap to the end of the crosshairs, or the center of the circle (depending on the pdmode you select) but only to the NODE, which is represented by the dots you see now. NODE is the esnap mode on demand or as a running esnap.
There is also a pointstyle command in autocad that allows you to change the graphic representation of the point and it's size.
to answer this question.
When I hatch I get "Selecting Everything Visible" then "Analyzing the selected data..." it gets stuck there.
