How do I extrude a block from the steel library and still keep its attributes?
I have inserted a block from the steel library 40x40x2. I note that to extrude this block I have to explode it which results in the block losing its attributes.
How do I extrude a block without losing its attributes or how do I extrude a block without exploding it?
PS is there any way to remove the large icons from the bottom of this web site? the overlap of the blog icon is in the way of the submittal button.
Smart End of the Tape Measure
to edit a block, without exploding it, you have to select it, right click it and to select the 'Edit local reference' option.
After you apply your modification, you have to save it, via the _refclose command or clicking the specific button in the Refedit displayed dialog.
We were able to reproduce the reported issue, the attributes don't remain associated to the iCADLib block after you extrude the geometry.
It was forwarded to the progeCAD Development Team for further analysis, to focus an available solution.
This could be present in a future, yet not defined, progeCAD 2013 Professional version.
Thank you for your report.
