How I attach existing points to this new cad system.

I've downloaded progeCAD 2013 and progeEarth for a 30 day trail period. I'm trying to convince my company to try different software. I am used to AutoCAD, but it too expensive. How to I attach the existing points to a project, so I can create a surface and run contours and volume. In AutoCAD you either attach the drawing to a project or create a project. I've looked around but I can't seem to find it in the help directory. The modules are loaded progeEARTH\dpcogo, but I'm not sure where to go from here.
Please give me some advice and instructions. If I'm going to present this to my company I need to know how to operate the program.

I am not sure I understand your question but I think what you are asking is how to generate points within your drawing to be able to perform various civil processes such as CoGo, DTM, or addition/subtraction of Earth from the design. If I am wrong please correct me.

To import a set of points into your drawing you can access ASCII files and using the cogo menu, use the import points. The its a matter of using those points to perform the various functions you'd like to perform. If the points are already in the drawing you can select them and create progeEARTH points out of them.

There are short manuals showing how to use the commands available here: http://www.progecad.us/index.pl?iid=5201
