Import excel cell contents to update text within drawing

We create drawings for our building automation controllers. We can export our database into excel, we now wish to import, update our drawings using this information. A typical drawing would have 16-100 registers, attributes such as the one below

room temperature
0-10vdc signal

the address location remains in the same place on the drawing, can we update the drawing attributes within this block from excel

look forward to hearing from you

cheers Glyn

Not without writing a custom program (using AutoLISP, VBA, or IRX) to read the excel spreadsheet (most likely will need to export to csv) find the block insert, and then update the attribute. We don't have any products which can do what you suggest out of the box. Do a google search to see if you can't find something (free or otherwise) to externally update your attributes from a spreadsheet. If you do, it will need to be a standard AutoLISP program.
