How do I create a horizontal alignment using only a polyline in ProgeCad Earth?

I downloaded the trial version of ProgeEARTH but only see how to create a roadway file using a tin model and then getting profile and cross sections developed based off of that information; However, I need to simply create a horizontal alignment from scratch (no survey available) using a polyline in order to then get stations and offsets from this alignment.  How do I do this???  Very interested in buying this additional software if I can understand how to do this one needed item.

To draw a poly line, type: pline

You can also draw lines and arcs and join them into a polyline with the pedit command.

When the program asks you to select an alignment, select the polyline and type in the beginning station without the plus.

The user cannot create a profile from a polyline.

The polyline will represent the horizontal alignment.

Then you use the define profile command to represent the vertical alignment.
