How to subtract solids?

Using progeCAD 2011 Pro, WinXP

I have created a solid plate using many operations but I am having trouble subtracting a solid from it.

I have an example dwg showing the plate with a solid box sticking through its center. I do a subtract, but no empty hole in the plate shows up when rendering. The back side of plate does show the hole, but it does not penetrate. Try subtracting the box from the plate and rendering and you'll see what I mean.

The sample can be had at: http://66.114.140.55/files/solid_subtract.dwg

Any ideas on what I've done wrong?

Thanks,

I'm the OP - problem solved.

I had some sort of non-solid surface(I don't know how else to describe it) in the center of the plate. How I found it is interesting - I punched a 2" cylinder in one of the corners and it exposed the plate uncut sticking into the hole area.
