No. progeCAD Professional is a perpetual license — you own the version you buy forever. iCARE is completely optional. It's for customers who want to stay on the latest version each year without paying full upgrade price.
Nothing changes with your license. You keep full access to the version you have — iCARE only controls whether you receive new version upgrades. You can renew at any time to pick up the current version.
With a subscription, you lose all access to the software when you stop paying. With iCARE, you own your perpetual license regardless — iCARE only determines whether you get new version upgrades. Stop paying iCARE and you still have a fully functional CAD tool.
Any major version of progeCAD (or iCADMac) released while your iCARE plan is active. progeSOFT typically ships one major release per year. You'll receive upgrade instructions via email when a new version is available.

iCARE covers progeCAD Professional and iCADMac base products only. Add-on products (progeEARTH, progeBILLD, progeTABLE) are priced and upgraded separately.
